As a Jets site, we must talk about this story involving the team at least for a little bit. So there, I just talked about it for a little bit. Let's get back to Saturday's game now.
The New York Jets will be working out former Virginia Tech defensive lineman, Carlton Powell today. "In 106 running plays directed at him, his tackles resulted in the opposition in being held to minus-13 yards on the ground." STATISTIC from http://nfl.com
I saw some other articles that say the concussion was severe, so obviously there is nothing too concrete about this and if he would have to miss the divisional game. Obviously we need to beat the Colts first, but it's just interesting to note.
"McKnight worked hard...at being a corner..." (among other things).
Rex Ryan with Michael Kay 1050 5:27 pm 1.3.11Not trying to detract from the glorious win earlier, but this really is a travesty.
The (7-9) Seattle Seahawks have just defeated the St. Louis Rams on Sunday Night Football, in the battle for the epic NFC West Worst crown.
I honestly feel bad for Raheem Morris and his (10-6) Bucs who won in New Orleans today but won't make the postseason. As well as the (10-6) New York Giants.
The Saints are probably licking their chops right about now at the idea of facing Charlie Whitehurst or Matt Hasselbeck.
Sorry, back to New York Jets' news!
(PS. I am not a Pete Carroll fan, not only for his short tenure with the Jets, but also for what he was allowed to get away with in NCAA.)
