Report: Possible Joint Practice With Green Bay Packers

According to Brian Costello of the NY Post, the New York Jets might be getting together with the Green Bay Packers this August for two joint practice sessions.

I always enjoyed the idea of joint practices. These guys eventually get tired of hitting each other and want to hit someone else. Without this kind of outlet, it usually leads to infighting on the field. The Jets haven’t had a joint practice session with another team since 2018 with the Washington Football Team. These joint practices would take place August 18th and 19th.

The Packers have some strong ties to the Jets with the LaFleur brothers and Robert Saleh. The Packers offense will be a close cousin to our own offense. Having our defense go up against a similar offense will sharpen their skills. These skills will be put to the test very quickly, because the Jets will then play the Packers in a preseason game on August 21st.
