The NFL Wild Card Weekend games continue this afternoon with clash between the Green Bay Packers and the Dallas Cowboys. The Cowboys are home in Dallas, Texas, where they have gone a perfect 8-0 this season. Kickoff is scheduled for 4:30 pm EST.

The 9-8 Green Bay Packers come into this game hot, having won three straight games and six of their last eight. Quarterback Jordan Love, in his first season starting for the Packers, closed the season on a high note, having thrown for 18 touchdowns and just one interception over his last eight games. The Packers have gone 4-5 on the road this season, with just one road win over a winning team all year. They face a formidable challenge against the Cowboys, who have not lost at home all season.

The 12-5 Dallas Cowboys come into this game having won seven of their last nine games. The Cowboys boast the NFL’s #1 offense in scoring, and #5 in yards gained. Their defense is just as good, ranking #5 in yards allowed and points allowed. The Cowboys main weaknesses come in the running game, where they are middle of the pack both on offense and on defense. The Cowboys are particularly tough at home, where they have not lost a game since September 11, 2022.

I’m taking the Cowboys to prevail at home, where they are just too tough for a Packers team that struggled on the road this season. I think the Packers will struggle to keep this game close.
