New York Jets Flight Connections 08/27/23

Good morning Gang Green Nation! The New York Jets beat the New York Giants 32 - 24 to close out the preseason last night. Aaron Rodgers and most of the first team offense got in some much needed action and did fairly well, scoring a touchdown in two possessions, albeit against backups for the Giants. Most of the first team defense also saw limited action and dominated, again against Giants backups. There is only so much we can take away from such mismatches. In the end, it was just a relief there weren’t any season ending injuries, though Mecole Hardman appeared to sustain some sort of injury.

We now move on to cutting down the roster to 53 players and a 16 man practice squad, all in preparation for the season debut on September 11 against the Buffalo Bills. For the most part the Jets have emerged from the preseason in good health, and that in itself is a big win.
