New York Jets Flight Connections 6/1/23

Good morning, Gang Green Nation. I hope you’re all having a great start to the day. It seems that Joe Douglas is really putting all of his eggs in the Aaron Rodgers basket. The New York Jets GM has been restructuring the contracts of multiple players this offseason, pushing the dead cap in later years to make room for a restructure of Rodgers’ contract. In the process, it’s probably saved a few players’ jobs on the team as well. The latest is safety Jordan Whitehead. Whitehead was applauded as a great signing by Douglas - until the games started to be played. Once that happened, Whitehead proved that he wasn’t worth the contract given - and probably should have been replaced at some point. Instead, he’ll find himself on the team this season.
