New York Jets Flight Connections 4/14/23

Good morning, Gang Green Nation. I hope you’re all having a great start to the day. The Jets finally waived Braden Mann yesterday. Mann was an elite punting prospect in college that never truly panned out in the NFL. Mann will mostly be remembered for ruining the Jets’ bid at getting Trevor Lawrence, making a game-saving tackle that would see the Jets pick second in the 2021 NFL Draft, instead of first overall. Replacing Mann is Thomas Morstead, who punted for the team when Mann missed time with the Jets in 2021. Morstead is still incredibly consistent at this point in his career, despite turning 37 years old just over a month ago.
