AGOP: Jets Fly High and still retain some Cap Space

Great news we got Aaron Rodgers and Chuck Clark. The time is now to build a giant ready to win it all this year!

Cuts/Trades/Restructure:

Duane Brown (post june 1)

Cj Moseley Restructured

Carl Lawson traded to Chicago Bears for a 3rd round pick

Corey Davis traded to Dallas Cowboys for a 7th round pick

Jordan Whitehead traded to Indianapolis Colts for a 7th round pick

Aaron Rodgers (incoming) - I'm predicting we give a 4th this year and conditional 3rd next that can be a 2nd if he makes MVP/Superbowl. That's more than fair for a team who needs to dump a player anyway, they are awarded a premium pick only if Rodgers delivers for us year 1.

Resign -

Quinnen Williams - gave $25M/year the sooner we get this done, the closer to this number we'll be

Connor McGovern - Center market seems to be light and centers are signing for about 4-6M around the league. He's the top fa center but he gives us a hometown discount and signs a 2 year deal for 6M a year.

Kwon Alexander - 1 year, $4M - free agency passes and nobody signs Kwon so he comes back at a team discount to compete for a superbowl

Cap Number - $31M

Free Agency -

Shelby Harris, DT, Broncos - 2 years - $15M (7.5M apy) - Shelbby Harris was set to make $9M this year for the broncos, we add one of the better interior d linemen left to line up next to Quinnen with an easy option to cut free for minimal loss next season.

Chauncey Gardner Johnson, S, Eagles - 4 years - $52M (13M apy) - We get the best overall player left in free agency in a position of need

Remaining Cap - $13M

Draft -

Round 1 - Jaxon Smith Njigba, WR, Ohio State - With Both Paris and Skoronski gone, we had to take JSN knowing New England would probably jump on him with the next pick. We take a risk here and now have the best WR corps in AFC East. We get the best receiver in the draft who even Garrett Wilson says is ahead of him.

Round 2 - Jack Campbell, LB, Iowa - My favorite linebacker in all the draft, we have a hole here and this is a big fill. I think we get this generation's Brian Cushing here and provides a huge boost to our linebacking corps.

Round 3 (from Bears in Lawson trade) - Luke Wypier, C, Ohio State - The Best center and one of the better players still available here, we make a a Buckeye's long time jet dream come true in the 3rd round for the second year in a row.

Round 3 - Blake Freeland, OT, BYU - We desperately need tackle depth here and get the athletic Freeland, who killed his combine in Indy as a swing tackle prospect/developmental left tackle

Round 5 - Kobie Turner, DT, Wake Forest - We fill another big need for depth on the DL here by adding Kobie Turner, a productive IDL from the ACC who finished this year with a whopping 27 hurries (up from 20 last season), 4 hits, 3 sacks a 92.2 PFF grade

Round 6 - Dorian Thompson-Robinson, QB, UCLA - Tied the combine record for throw velocity with Josh Allen and finishing his last 3 years of college with above a 100 passer rating, this is the perfect backup qb/developmental QB prospect to put behind Aaron Rodgers, in case Zach Wilson doesn't work out.

Round 7 (from Cowboys in Corey Davis trade) - Jack Korsak, P, Rutgers - Greg Schiano says he's the best punter he's been around in his career, and one of the top punters in the class, we use our acquired 7th round pick wisely on a high upside special teamer in a position of need.

Round 7 (from Colts in Whitehead trade) - Sidy Sow, OG Eastern Michigan - Possible overlooked small school prospect who played very solidly on Eastern Michigan's OL.
