Jets head coach Robert Saleh has named his starting quarterback for the team’s Week 14 game against the Houston Texans. It is Zach Wilson, the quarterback Saleh benched just three short weeks ago.

The big story of the early part of the week was a report on Wilson suggesting he was reluctant to step back into the lineup. Now he gets the ball once again.
The move to Tim Boyle did not work for the Jets. Boyle’s play was so poor that it led to his release after just two starts.
Wilson will be thrown into a familiar and difficult situation. The Jets lack talent across the offense and don’t have a particularly dynamic scheme. The third year quarterback has struggled this year in the difficult situation which has led to questions about whether he will return to the Jets in 2024. It looks like he will get one more shot with the team at least.
