Podcast: Leave Zach Wilson alone

NFL: Miami Dolphins at New York Jets Vincent Carchietta-USA TODAY Sports

The New York Jets season took another strange detour on Monday as a report came from The Athletic suggesting Zach Wilson would be “reluctant” to start again at quarterback for the Jets. This comes right after Tim Boyle was benched in a loss to the Atlanta Falcons, perhaps paving the way for a return to the lineup for Wilson.

Head coach Robert Saleh stated at his Monday press conference that Wilson expressed a desire to regain his starting job.

What do we make of it? Let’s get into it on today’s podcast.

I don’t blame Zach Wilson for having reluctance. If he didn’t at this point I would be surprised. My bigger takeaway is what this story says about the current state of the Jets organization, and that is not good.
