Special Saturday Night edition of Monday Night Football, Week 17. Tonight the Dallas Cowboys host the Detroit Lions in a game of NFC playoff teams. Kickoff is scheduled for 8:15 pm EST. The Cowboys are 5.5 point home favorites against the Lions according to DraftKings Sportsbook.

The 11-4 Detroit Lions currently are in first place in the NFC North. They have clinched the NFC North crown, are tied for the best record in the NFC, and are looking to grab the #1 seed for the NFC playoffs. The Lions have been an excellent road team this season, with a 6-2 road record. However, their only road opponent as good as the Cowboys, the Baltimore Ravens, crushed the Lions, 38 - 6.

The 10-5 Dallas Cowboys currently are in second place in the NFC East, one game back of the Philadelphia Eagles. The Cowboys are still competing for the NFC East crown, but they need a victory tonight to stay in the hunt. The Cowboys have been flawless at home, with a 7 - 0 home record, but they haven’t faced many opponents as good as the Lions. Like the Lions, the Cowboys have already clinched a playoff spot, and are only playing for seeding.

I’m taking the Cowboys to take care of business at home against a very tough Lions team, but it would not surprise me at all if the Lions prevail.

I have submitted my pick using the widget from our partners at Tallysight. You can follow all my picks throughout the season, as I prove for another season how I’m not made to be a gambler. Seriously, I cannot stress enough how bad an idea it would be to bet real money based on my picks. Don’t do it. Don’t even consider it. Make your own picks, and good luck. And if you do bet, consider using our friends at DraftKings Sportsbook.
