Jets vs Falcons Game Day Forecast

A wet afternoon is forecast for the New Jersey meadowlands today

NFL: Jacksonville Jaguars at New York Jets Vincent Carchietta-USA TODAY Sports

The New York Jets are at home in East Rutherford, New Jersey this afternoon as they take on the Atlanta Falcons in the 12th game of the Jets’ 2023 NFL campaign. The game is scheduled to start at 1:00 pm EST.

The weather in East Rutherford will be cool and wet. Skies will be cloudy throughout the game. Winds will be light and variable at 5 - 10 mph with a few higher gusts out of the east northeast to start the game, shifting to the northeast as the game progresses. Temperatures will be in the upper 40s to low 50s throughout the game. Relative humidity will be high throughout the game, in the upper 80s to around 90. There will be an 85% chance of rain to start the game, falling to a 65% chance of rain by game’s end, as showers taper to a light drizzle.

All in all, this will be a fairly miserable weather day for fans and players alike. While it will be cool and wet, the conditions should not be so bad as to have much of an adverse effect on the game for the players. Perhaps the players will have a slightly more difficult time than usual catching and holding on to the football. The rain should be steady but fairly light, and the winds should also be fairly light. Fans will need to bundle up a bit and wear something waterproof to keep warm.

Enjoy the game everybody.
