The New York Jets are at home in MetLife Stadium this week as they take on the Atlanta Falcons in East Rutherford, New Jersey. According to DraftKings Sportsbook, the Jets are 2 point home underdogs against the Falcons. That spread seems fair. The 5-6 Falcons aren’t very good, but they’re playing better than the lifeless Jets recently. The Jets have the better defense and home field advantage. The Falcons have the better offense.
If the Jets defense can take over the game against a very beatable Desmond Ridder and force multiple turnovers then maybe the Jets can muster enough offense to escape with a victory here. I suspect that scenario will play out at least once before the end of the season. Today’s game against Ridder and the Falcons is probably as good a bet as any the rest of the way.
There are plenty of other games to watch on Sunday, many involving actual good teams. I’ll be fearlessly (and probably wrongly) predicting the outcome of all of them. I went 10-5 last week to bring my total record to 106-72 so far this season. Let’s see how I do this week.
Embedded below are my picks for all the Sunday matchups this week. These picks are just a simple who wins the game deal. Odds do not factor in. DISCLAIMER: This is just for fun. I make no claims to actually being any good at this. Anyone who chooses to bet according to my picks will likely prove the old maxim, a fool and his money are soon parted.
