Jets open as 7 point underdogs vs Browns

The New York Jets try for their third win in their last four games against the Cleveland Browns

The New York Jets just barely defeated a bad Washington Commanders team at home, 30 - 28 on Sunday, after blowing a 20 point second half lead. It was a pretty putrid Jets performance after a dominant first quarter, but they managed to escape with a win.

The victory brought the Jets record to 6-9 on the season. Now the Jets prepare to face the Cleveland Browns on the road in the last Thursday Night Football game of this season.

The 10-5 Cleveland Browns are in second place in the AFC North and one of only three teams in the AFC with double digit wins this season. They have won six of their last eight games and three straight, despite playing Joe Flacco at quarterback the last four games. The Browns boast the NFL’s #1 ranked passing defense and #1 overall defense in terms of yards allowed. Given the sorry state of the Jets offense, this could be a single digit kind of night for the Jets scoring. A shutout would not be all that surprising.

According to DraftKings Sportsbook, the Jets open as 7 point road underdogs against the Browns on Thursday. That may be underestimating the Browns. The Browns are one of the best teams in the AFC. The Jets are one of the worst. The Jets offense is the worst in the NFL. The Browns defense is the best. The Browns are at home. This one could get very ugly. I don’t see the Jets being competitive in this game.

The Moneyline odds are New York Jets +260/Cleveland Browns -325.

The Over/Under for the game is 36.5.

What do you think Jets fans? Will the Jets beat the odds in this game?
