The first half of the New York Jets game against the Houston Texans is in the books, and the Jets are tied with the Texans, 0 - 0.

The Jets got the better of the action in a scoreless first quarter as Zach Wilson came out hot, not missing a single pass in first quarter action. The Jets almost scored on their opening drive before a sack took them out of scoring position.

Midway through the 2nd quarter a Jets punt was downed inside the 2 yard line, giving the Jets defense an opportunity to make something happen. The defense did not disappoint, forcing a three and out and giving the Jets offense great field position near midfield. The Jets offense squandered the opportunity, going three and out. Another great punt followed, pinning the Texans at their own five yard line. The Jets defense forced another three and out, and the subsequent punt again gave the Jets the ball near midfield. The Jets offense again squandered the opportunity, and the subsequent Jets punt again pinned the Texans inside their own 10 yard line. The Texans eventually punted and the first half mercifully came to an end with neither team scoring a point.
