The New York Jets are at home in East Rutherford, New Jersey this afternoon as they take on the Houston Texans in the 13th game of the Jets’ 2023 NFL campaign. The game is scheduled to start at 1:00 pm EST.

The weather in East Rutherford will be cool and wet. Skies will be cloudy throughout the game. Winds will be light and variable at 5 - 10 mph with a few higher gusts out of the south to start the game, increasing to 10 - 15 mph towards the end of the game. Temperatures will be in the mid 50s throughout the game. Relative humidity will be high throughout the game, in the upper 80s to around 90. There will be a 90% chance of rain throughout the game. The rain will get progressively heavier as the game wears on.

All in all, this will be a fairly miserable weather day for fans and players alike. The drenching rain and occasional wind gusts could make for a mistake and turnover filled game. Passing the ball will be more difficult than usual, and holding on to the football could become a problem. The conditions will deteriorate as the game progresses, making the 4th quarter particularly perilous. Fans will want to wear something waterproof to avoid getting soaked.

Enjoy the game everybody.
