Tim Boyle to start at quarterback for the Jets Week 13 vs. Atlanta Falcons

The Jets are sticking with the veteran quarterback after a rough first start.

After a rough start against the Miami Dolphins, Tim Boyle will stay in the lineup for the Jets Week 13 against the Atlanta Falcons. Head coach Robert Saleh confirmed it Saturday morning.

Boyle’s Black Friday start was ugly. He completed 27 of 38 passes for only 179 yards, 1 touchdown, and 2 interceptions. Boyle was completely overwhelmed, perhaps understandably so, by the Jets’ broken offensive infrastructure.

It probably doesn’t make a difference at this point. The Jets don’t have a quarterback who could overcome everything that is broken with the offense. Still I have a tough time understanding why the team won’t at least turn to Trevor Siemian. Not that I think Simian can play well, but he has a far better NFL track record than Boyle. He could probably be less bad if nothing else.

But I guess nothing can stop the slide the Jets are on anyway.
