New York Jets Flight Connections 11/21/23

Good morning, Gang Green Nation. I hope you’re all having a great start to the day. Zach Wilson has finally been benched and will be replaced by Tim Boyle on Friday’s ‘Black Friday’ game against the Miami Dolphins. To be honest, while I’ve never been a fan of Zach Wilson, it’s hard for me to totally place the blame on him for the New York Jets’ struggles this year. I do think Robert Saleh was forced into playing him to begin with, but with that said, there’s very little that’s gone in favor of the third-year quarterback. It’s similar to the situation Sam Darnold found himself in years ago - but at least Wilson does have some better offensive weapons to throw to than Darnold ever did. One wonders what would have happened if the team stuck with Darnold and traded back, instead of taking Wilson in the draft. Unfortunately we’ll never know.
