Joe Flacco-led offense looks good in joint practice with Falcons

+

In the move-the-ball period of the non-padded joint practice, the Falcons’ first-team offense turned it over on downs, with a fourth down pass sailing over the head of TE Kyle Pitts, who couldn’t shake free from CB Sauce Gardner. The Joe Flacco-led Jets scored a touchdown on two plays (a one-handed sideline catch by Corey Davis put the ball on the doorstep) and completed the two-point conversion. The bad Not much went wrong for the Jets, but a nitpicker might point out that rookie WR Garrett Wilson nearly completed two great catches, but he wasn’t able to get his feet inbounds after securing the ball either time. He was shoved out of bounds while still airborne on the second one. Caught my eye Four days removed from knee surgery, QB Zach Wilson watched his teammates practice from the sideline. He drove a cart around the grass but walked inside the facility slowly and without a limp. He had a compression sleeve wrapped around his right knee. Medical report S Lamarcus Joyner (illness) returned to team drills. OLB Carl Lawson received a veteran rest day. LB Marcell Harris (hamstring) was not in uniform. DE Michael Clemons left practice after taking a helmet to the ribs but is not expected to be sidelined further. DL Quinnen Williams and Bryce Huff worked with trainers.
