Good morning, Gang Green Nation! With all the talk about wide receivers, there is an even more glaring hole on the New York Jets roster that the Jets have done nothing to address. At linebacker the Jets have C.J. Mosley, who isn’t really suited to the sideline to sideline role he’s been thrust into. In addition, it’s difficult to envision the aging and very expensive Mosley remaining on the team next year when the prohibitive cap hit to cut him finally expires. There’s Quincy Williams, who isn’t really suited to a starting role. Behind those two there are a couple of late round draft picks from last year, two converted safeties who don’t look like starting linebackers in the NFL. Perhaps the Jets really mean it when they say they like what they have at linebacker, but I’m skeptical. I think we can anticipate the Jets drafting one, and possibly two linebackers in the upcoming draft. At least I hope that’s a consideration.
