Redwine was called into action in week one after the injury to Lamarcus Joyner and he was trailing behind Robby Anderson on his touchdown catch. The Jets released Redwine just days ago, but they obviously saw enough to want to stash him for a rainy day.
Redwine was a 4th round pick of the Browns out of the University of Miami in 2019 but was waived in August of this year, despite having an interception of Big Ben in the 2020 Wild Card game, a game that the Browns would eventually go on to win.
Sheldrick signed with the Jets on the 6th of September. He was targeted twice against Carolina, allowing 2 receptions for 83 yards and a touchdown.
