On today’s podcast I am joined by former Jets quarterback Chad Pennington. Chad was one of four players the Jets selected in the first round of the 2000 NFL Draft. He took over the starting quarterback job in 2002 and was a member of the team until the summer of 2008.
Chad is currently working as an ambassador for the Mayo Clinic Comeback Player of the Year Award, which honors college football players who overcome injury, illness or other challenges. The first three nominees for the award were announced today. They are Terrel Bernard, a senior linebacker at Baylor University, Jack Coan, a senior quarterback at the University of Notre Dame, and Brian Kearns, Jr. a senior running back at Stonehill College.
On the episode today Chad provides us with a lot of insight on life in the NFL and memories from his career. He has a good sense of what things might be like in the Jets locker room. He is also one of the few people who knows exactly what Zach Wilson is going through. I think this is a very informative interview.
Thanks for listening.
