New York Jets Flight Connections 8/5/21

Good morning, GGN! I hope you’re all having a great start to the day. As we get closer to the season, we’re getting a clear view of the betting picture of who people believe will win the Offensive Rookie of the Year. Unsurprisingly, the Jets are being disrespected yet again. Per Oddschecker, Zach Wilson is ranked fourth on that list, behind Trevor Lawrence, Justin Fields, and Trey Lance. Quite frankly, that just doesn’t make sense considering two of those players aren’t even the established starter on their team this season. Even though I personally wasn’t high on Zach Wilson, it’s disrespectful to not have him in the top-3 (at minimum) to win that award, due to not only his potential, but his opportunity. And let’s not forget, he is a quarterback, and the NFL is a quarterback league. Hopefully he will prove those (and myself) wrong this year, and has an excellent season.
