On today’s podcast we recap Saturday’s preseason victory for the Jets over the Green Bay Packers.
Preseason scores don’t mean a whole lot. More significant from the game was the performance of Zach Wilson. The rookie looked great as he completed 9 of 11 passes for 128 yards and a pair of touchdowns. You don’t want to read too much into 11 preseason attempts, but a performance like this is encouraging and certainly beats the alternative. If nothing else, Wilson has looked sharp in the first two preseason games.
On the show I also talk about some of the other players who stood out in both good and bad ways. A tight end and a kicker made strong arguments to earn the Week 1 nod while the backup quarterbacks struggled once again.
