Training camp practice got underway today for the Jets. Zach Wilson was not there as the rookie quarterback officially became a holdout. Everybody else has reported to training camp, but not everybody is practicing. Some players are dealing with injuries and have been placed on the PUP or NFI list.
Head coach Robert Saleh indicated defensive end Vinny Curry and safety Ashtyn Davis are expected to miss the start of the regular season.

Curry and Davis are projected to be part-time players.
Quinnen Williams is not. He is going to be a featured player on defense, and the news on his injury recovery is better.
Quinnen Williams (foot) will be held out another week or so. Will return week of GB practices, per Saleh, who says he’s not concerned. #Jets

Saleh said they’re taking a cautious approach with Quinnen Williams so this doesn’t happen with the other foot #Jets

We are a long way away from Week 1. There obviously is no reason to rush Quinnen back before he is healthy. The objective should be to have him ready for the opener. Williams is recovering from surgery on a broken foot. He sustained that injury during an offseason workout at the team facility.
