This is the quiet time on the NFL calendar. The Draft and offseason program are done. Training camp has not begun. It is rare to see major news.
The Jets made some on Friday as they agreed to terms with former Washington right tackle Morgan Moses. The veteran hit the market earlier in the offseason. After weeks of rumored negotiations, the Jets were finally able to land Moses who should be a big upgrade on the offensive line.
On today’s podcast I give thoughts on the signing. I think the front office put itself in a position to take advantage of a situation like this and made a key addition at a very reasonable price. Moses might not be a perfect fit for the new offensive system, but he will make right tackle better. He also will help improve depth by moving George Fant to a backup role that fits him better.
Thanks for listening.
