Good morning, GGN! I hope you’re all having a great start to the day. Shout out to Mr. Wells for holding down the fort over the weekend as usual. Recently Jets head coach Robert Saleh came out and explained why the team has yet to sign a veteran backup quarterback to mentor rookie Zach Wilson. What Saleh pointed out was that a veteran quarterback would be of little use to mentor Wilson, due to a lack of knowledge on the scheme itself. It makes sense, but it doesn’t explain then why the team chose to forego signing former 49er quarterback Nick Mullens (even if I don’t think he would help anyway). Hopefully there ends up not being a need for a backup quarterback regardless. With that, here are your links to the Jets to start your morning off.

Is it a mistake to not sign a veteran backup QB?
