Good morning, Gang Green Nation! Another day, another incident of disrespecting the New York Jets. Jason LaCanfora posted his rankings of the new head coaches around the league, and Robert Saleh came in sixth out of seven, beating out only David Culley of the Houston Texans. This seems a curious ranking. Most reports had Saleh as one of the best, if not the best, head coaching candidates prior to the Jets hiring him. It would seem that the stench of the past decade for the Jets rubbed off on, and unduly biased, LaCanfora’s rankings. While this kind of thing can be annoying, it is the price we pay for a franchise that has not made the playoffs in a decade. The cure is simple: win. Until the Jets win, the cheap shots will keep on coming. Win and win consistently and the past is forgotten. Continue to lose and the past is fodder for endless disrespect. LaCanfora and his ilk get to laugh at the LOLJets, until Coach Saleh and the Jets shut them up with a new winning paradigm. There’s no guarantee that will happen, but personally I’m thinking Saleh’s got a better chance of having the last laugh than LaCanfora.
