Bonus Mailbag: Do the Jets Really Need a Veteran Backup QB?

On a semi-frequent basis during the offseason there are weeks I decide to do a bonus mailbag show. Normally there is one podcast mailbag per week. This is one of the weeks there is a second mailbag. As always, it couldn’t happen without so many quality questions so thank you for sending them in.

Today we look at what issues the Jets will need to work out with Zach Wilson before the sides agree to terms on a rookie contract, whether the Jets might look to change some of the assignments on the offensive line, how unusual it is for free agents to remain unsigned a few weeks after the Draft, the extent to which injury might have caused a few poor performances last year, whether the Jets are being underrated, and whether the need for a veteran backup quarterback is overstated.
