The Jets will almost assuredly be picking a quarterback second overall in a few weeks at the upcoming NFL Draft. I felt like this was a good time to reflect on other times in recent history when the Jets drafted a quarterback early.
On today’s podcast I look back at quarterbacks the Jets have picked in either the first or second rounds since the year 2000. I do my best to remember what I thought at the time of the pick and try to recall lessons I learned from each player’s career. There has been a lot of disappointment in these choices, and clearly I still am not over the Jets using a second round pick five years ago on a certain Penn State quarterback. (And no, I did not plan the outburst when discuss that pick. It just happened as I thought about how ridiculous it was.)
Thanks as always for listening.
