New York Jets Flight Connections 4/8/21

Good morning, GGN! I hope you’re all having a great start to the day. Interesting news was released today by Ian Rapoport that the Jets did not get much conversation regarding a trade for the No. 2 overall pick in this year’s draft. It’s a pretty surprising revelation, considering this quarterback class. I guess it goes to show that the rest of the league was privy to what the Jets were planning on doing, even if the Jets beat wasn’t (shocker). One thing that I have yet to figure out however, is the amount of love Wilson has received over Justin Fields. Personally, I think it’s a lot closer than perceived (and I actually like Fields more), and just because Ohio State hasn’t exactly generated a quality quarterback in the NFL shouldn’t deter teams from selecting Fields. Hopefully the Jets are enamored with Wilson for the right reasons, and given Douglas’ track record I believe that to be true.
