New York Jets Flight Connections 4/7/21

Good morning, GGN! I hope you’re all having a great start to the day. We’re now in the first official day without Sam Darnold being the quarterback of the New York Jets. Looking back, it’s seemed pretty bleak for Jets’ fans. There aren’t many players who have been on the team more than two years, and no one currently on the team has been here five years. It’s a pretty frustrating truth that explains how bad the team has done in not only evaluating talent, but bringing in and maintaining talent. The one positive so far for fans is that Joe Douglas seems to have done a good job setting up the team for the future. The question becomes can he put together consecutive successful drafts? Truth be told, Douglas gets more praise than he should for the 2020 NFL Draft. 2021 will be yet another huge test, with ‘22 and ‘23 playing vital roles into the future of the team.
