The first round of the 2021 NFL Draft is now complete, and there are two new members of the New York Jets.

Zach Wilson is the new quarterback of the future in New York. As expected, the Jets picked him with the second overall selection.

After finding his quarterback, Joe Douglas worked the phones and struck a deal to move up in the first round. The Jets traded the 23rd overall pick and both of their third round selections to Minnesota for the 14th pick and a late fourth rounder. With pick 14 the Jets took Alijah Vera-Tucker, an offensive lineman out of USC. Vera-Tucker will help protect Wilson. This marks a second straight year the Jets have used a first round pick on an offensive lineman after a fourteen year drought.

On today’s podcast I talk about both picks along with what could be ahead in the second round.

Thanks for listening.
