2021 NFL Draft: Jets Pick Ailjah Vera-Tucker; Do You Approve?

With the 14th overall selection in the 2021 NFL draft, the New York Jets have selected offensive lineman Alijah Vera-Tucker out of USC.

With the selection of quarterback Zach Wilson earlier tonight, the Jets needed to support the rookie quarterback. Selecting a top offensive lineman to protect Wilson helps that process. The Jets gave up quite a bit of draft capital to get their man here. Perhaps it will be worth it if Vera-Tucker excels, but I am somewhat skeptical of big trade-ups. I’m not sure I approve of this move.
