We all await next week’s NFL Draft. The Jets will add their next quarterback of the future with the second overall pick. The team has a second first round pick. It falls 23rd overall. Originally belonging to the Seattle Seahawks, the pick came to the Jets in the Jamal Adams trade.

This pick won’t have the same long-term impact as the quarterback, but it is an important pick. It gives the Jets the rare opportunity to add a first round non-quarterback talent the same year they find their signal caller. This player can help the quarterback succeed whether he is part of the offensive supporting cast or helps to build a stronger defense that lessens the quarterback’s pressure.

On today’s podcast I take a look at the various options I think the Jets have with the 23rd overall pick. There are several different paths for the Jets.

Thanks as always for listening to the podcast.
