New York Jets Flight Connections 4/1/21

Good morning, Gang Green Nation! I hope you’re all having a great start to the day. If you haven’t heard already the New York Jets have decided to give Sam Darnold a 5-year 120 million dollar extension late last night (please don’t take this seriously it’s an April Fool’s joke).

Now that that’s out of the way, the team still has questions at the quarterback position and so much speculation. One group that isn’t given enough thought is the status of the running back room. There aren’t many good options on the roster right now. Granted, Tevin Coleman is familiar with the scheme that’s going to be used by the Jets; but he hasn’t necessarily been the greatest player on the field during the course of his career. The Jets will probably end up drafting a running back into the room, but if they don’t I think it will be another missed opportunity by the team (to go along with holding Darnold too long which has lowered his perceived value).
