On today’s podcast we take a look at some of the Jets news from the week.
Earlier in the week news broke of the team’s first major player personnel move of the offseason. The Jets will release defensive lineman Henry Anderson, which will save over $8 million in salary cap space in 2021. Anderson was acquired in a trade with the Colts during the 2018 NFL Draft. He had a productive first season with the team which led to a large contract in free agency. Things did not pan out.
We also talk about Marcus Maye. Maye’s agent made headlines with a tweet expressing frustration over the pace of contract negotiations. We talk about what this means.
Finally we discuss the press conference Joe Douglas and Robert Saleh held yesterday. I think there was a very notable takeaway pertaining to the quarterback position.
Thanks as always for listening to the podcast.
