Joe Douglas and Robert Saleh Press Conference Updates

Jets general manager Joe Douglas and head coach Robert Saleh are set to speak with the media this afternoon.

Usually the general manager and head coach speak to the press at the NFL Scouting Combine. With no Combine happening this year, this will take the place of that press conference.

As always, I caution against reading too much into anything said during an offseason press conference. These are frequently full of cliches and lacking in real offseason strategy talk. That is by design. There isn’t any good reason for a general manager or head coach to give away the team’s offseason strategy. There isn’t much benefit in letting the rest of the league know what you are going to do. Perhaps, however, there will be an interesting point or two made.
