New York Jets Flight Connections 3/23/21

Good morning, GGN! I hope you’re all having a great start to the day. The Robert Saleh effect seems to be real among defensive players, as Sheldon Rankins is the second player to cite Saleh’s presence/words as a reason why he signed with the team. For the most part many saw this coming. Saleh has shown that even when dealing with adversity he can get the most out of his defensive units, and is an amazing coach in the NFL on that side of the ball. As a head coach things will be a little different (we’ve seen great coordinators struggle when having to master an entire organization), but I have faith that Saleh can get the job done. A big aspect of having success at the head coaching level involves the people you put in charge, and I believe the team is in good hands in that department. Despite all of the goodwill feelings, I do believe this team still struggles a bit in his inaugural year; but time will tell - and I hope I’m wrong.
