Not much happened for the Jets on the second day of free agency.
The team agreed to terms with only one player, special teamer Justin Hardee of the Saints. Hardee is nominally listed as a cornerback, but he played sparingly on the New Orleans defense in his four years there. He was a core special teamer for the Saints, posting at least 214 special teams snaps in each of his seasons. He played across the return and coverage units.
On today’s podcast we talk about the first two days of free agency. I offer some thoughts on the Hardy signing. I also offer an early progress report. However, the most important days are the ones ahead. As the market slows down with the Jets still holding a lot of cap space, it will be important to strike on the opportunities that present themselves. We discuss all this and more.
Thanks for listening.
