Free agency is underway in the NFL.
While contracts cannot officially be signed until tomorrow, deals have been struck across the league since the legal tampering period began at noon Eastern on Monday. Things started slowly for the Jets yesterday afternoon, but they picked up in the evening. News broke that the team agreed to terms with Titans wide receiver Corey Davis. Not long after that news broke that Bengals edge rusher Carl Lawson agreed to sign with the team. Both players figure to be substantial upgrades at important positions of need.
The Jets also agreed to contracts with Lions linebacker Jarrad Davis and re-signed running back Josh Adams.
What will the team do today? Will there be more additions, or will the Jets now wait for some of the dust to settle and look for bargains?
I don’t know the answer, but I do know how to find out. The GGN Twitter widget is embedded below with updates from the day in free agency.
