Rookies correctly get a lot of our attention as fans, but sometimes we overlook second year players. The progress of sophomores can be more important.

We celebrate players who look like they belong from the first day they set foot on an NFL field, but they are the exception. I think sometimes we forget how rare it is for a rookie to make an impact in this league. For many players the biggest improvement comes between years one and two. At this point players have had a chance to adjust to the NFL and figure out what it is all about.

On today’s podcast we take a look at the progress of the Jets sophomore class of 2020. These were players who were drafted in 2019. There is a standout at the top of the class followed by other less decorated players.

Thank you as always for listening to the show.
