Good morning, GGN! I hope you’re all having a great start to the day. Shout out to Mr. Wells for holding down the fort over the weekend as usual. After discussing this earlier, reports have now come out that the Jets plan on using the franchise tag on free safety Marcus Maye (just call me Tomstradomus). If the Jets do this, don’t be shocked for them to do the same at this point next year as well. Maye is already an ‘old’ free agent, as he will be 28 at the start of this season and in the midst of his prime. With the tag for safeties being relatively low compared to other positions, this would make sense for the Jets to do. While it may not necessarily make Maye happy per se, the Jets control the next two years of his future if they decide to go this route. If I’m the organization, this is what I do; and lock in a high-end starting free safety for the next two years at a decent cost. With that, here are your links to the team today.
