The Tampa Bay Buccaneers dethroned the Kansas City Chiefs tonight 31-9 in Super Bowl LV. Kansas City was looking to win a second consecutive championship, but there still has been no repeat in the NFL in sixteen years. In recent seasons we have been treated to competitive Super Bowls for the most part, but this joins Seattle’s victory over Denver in the Meadowlands seven years ago as an exception.
Tampa Bay dominated the Chiefs. The Bucs played great, and this game was a no show from Kansas City. The game was never closer than two scores in the second half.
The hated Tom Brady scores his seventh Super Bowl win and first away from New England. Brady threw three touchdown passes in the blowout.
Some familiar names with the Jets were also part of this win for Tampa Bay, including Todd Bowles and Steve McLendon.
The dismal 2020 NFL season has finally come to an official end. We can finally now focus on the offseason.
