This is an anxious time for fans of the Jets and other NFL teams. This is expected to be an offseason with a lot of quarterback movement across the league. Matthew Stafford, Jared Goff, and Carson Wentz will be changing teams.
Who will be the next player to move? NFL insider Ian Rapoport says we might need to wait a while.
From NFL Now: The QB Carousel is now stuck in the mud. The #Jets won't move any time soon, the #Texans haven't been willing to discuss it... there may be a bit of a lull overall. pic.twitter.com/pc2Hr3Di5C

The Jets of course are at the center of the quarterback market. They own the second overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. They are a potential suitor if Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson is made available, and Sam Darnold could be moving to a team that likes him as a reclamation project.
We could be a long way from a resolution if Rapoport is accurate. He indicates the Jets will not trade Darnold at least until they have finished their Draft evaluations on the quarterback class. That just seems like common sense. There isn’t any reason to trade Darnold until the team is certain it will have a replacment. Rapoport also says the Texans are not listening to offers for Watson at this time.
All of this is to say we might be speculating about quarterbacks for quite a while.
