Good morning, Gang Green Nation! Another game, another opportunity for Zach Wilson to begin to turn things around. Today Wilson and the Jets will face the Philadelphia Eagles and their 27th ranked pass defense in terms of passer rating allowed. It is a welcome respite from the string of top pass defenses Wilson has faced in his rookie year. Prior to today’s game Wilson has faced the New England Patriots (#2 pass defense in passer rating allowed) twice, the Denver Broncos (#4), the Houston Texans (#11), the Tennessee Titans (#14), the Carolina Panthers (#15) and the Atlanta Falcons (#30). That is a brutal stretch for any rookie quarterback to start a career. Perhaps the Eagles’ 27th ranked unit will provide just what Wilson needs to begin to shine. One can only hope.
