New York Jets Flight Connections 11/5/21

Good morning, Gang Green Nation! I hope you’re all having a great start to the day. The Mike White hype died before it could get started. Early into the game last night, Mike White hurt his forearm on a fluke play, and was unable to finish the game. Josh Johnson stepped in to replace him, and played great for a 3rd stringer coming in cold. The big concern for me (outside of Mike White’s injury status), is how bad this defense looks. I understand that the team fell flat once White got injured, but their results were some of the worst we’ve seen this season (perhaps outside of the New England game). The Indianapolis Colts put on over 250 yards rushing against the Jets. That is the most any team has done to another this season. The lack of run-stopping ability from this defense has been apparent lately, and from a fan’s perspective it’s weird to see, considering how elite the defense would be in that category in years past.
