Many Jets fans expected the team to make a trade before yesterday’s deadline. I’m not sure how many expected the team to add a player.
That’s just what happened, though, as Joe Douglas worked out a trade with Kansas City adding offensive lineman Laurent Duvernay-Tardif. All the Jets had to give up was reserve tight end and special teamer Daniel Brown.
On today’s podcast I discuss the trade. I think it’s difficult to complain about a potential offensive line upgrade acquired for a player who didn’t provide much value. This isn't even giving up a late round pick, a lottery ticket that has a small chance of turning into something valuable. With all due respect to Brown’s special teams play, we know he isn’t going to provide a whole lot.
I also talk about a few of the players on the team who were not traded and where things go from here.
Thanks for listening.
