The NFL’s trade deadline is at 4:00 pm Eastern Time today.
It is not clear at the moment whether the Jets will be making any deals. At 2-5, one might presume they would be sellers. One never knows, however. Four years ago the team made a deal (albeit inexplicable) to add Rashard Robinson even though the season was lost.
Veterans in the last year of their contracts are the most likely names to watch. Safety Marcus Maye is playing the season under the franchise tag, and there does not seem like much desire on either side to continue this relationship. Jamison Crowder’s future with the Jets is unclear. The slot receiver will also be a free agent after the season, but would the Jets want to take away a reliable target from their young quarterbacks?
Soon enough we will find out whether the Jets make a move. We will find out through the GGN Twitter widget which is embedded below.
