MNF: Giants vs Chiefs Game Thread

NFL: New York Giants at Kansas City Chiefs Jay Biggerstaff-USA TODAY Sports

Monday Night Football, Week 8. Tonight the New York Giants visit the Kansas City Chiefs.

The 3-4 Kansas City Chiefs come into this game reeling, losers of four of their last six games. The Chiefs have been victims of a brutal early schedule, in which five of their first seven games have been against some of the best teams in the NFL. The Chiefs have also been victims of some bad bounces, as several interceptions have come off of tipped balls that the Chiefs’ receivers should have caught. The Chiefs now are staring down the possibility of missing the playoffs this year unless they turn things around pronto. Perhaps a home game against a mediocre New York Giants team will provide the tonic the Chiefs need to get back on the right track.

The 2-5 New York Giants come into this game off their best performance of the year, a 25 - 3 thumping of the Carolina Panthers. The Giants haven’t done anything particularly well this year. Without Saquon Barkley in the lineup the Giants can’t run the ball, and with Daniel Jones in the lineup the Giants can’t pass the ball. It’s a conundrum. Perhaps the Kansas City Chiefs and their 31st ranked defense will be just the thing to get the Giants offense untracked.

It’s the Giants and the Chiefs on Monday Night Football.

Enjoy the game everybody.
