Podcast: Jets Beat Titans in Overtime Thriller

Syndication: The Record Kevin R. Wexler-NorthJersey.com / USA TODAY NETWORK

The Jets got into the win column yesterday. It was the first victory of the Robert Saleh/Zach Wilson Era as the team overcame an early 9-0 deficit to defeat the Tennessee Titans 27-24 in overtime.

We haven’t been treated to many Jets wins over the last few years. We also haven’t been treated to many exciting games. We got both yesterday.

Today’s podcast recaps the victory. The Jets really needed a win. It was a very difficult week after a dismal loss to Denver dropped the team to 0-3. This was a big response. The Jets had the better of the play and took advantage of just enough opportunities to emerge victorious.

There were numerous heroes on both sides of the ball in this one. The most notable was the rookie quarterback who played the best game of his brief career.
